The foundation of the natural world is soil, which prevalent in many parts India and has a high silt content, low strength, weak bearing ability. loads placed on these soils during construction or structures useful life are too great for them to bear. In India, expansive soil covers 20 percent land. To enhance functionality soils, stabilization used.In this research work, an attempt been made use Iron Ore Tailings (IOT) industrial by-product as stabilizing agent soil. study, replaced with IOT from 0% 30% at 5% interval. It was found experimental observations that values Liquid limit Plastic decreased increase percentage IOT. Free swell index shows total decrement 55% content. MDD standard modified compaction increased higher whereas OMC accordingly. CBR un-soaked condition yielded no penetration resistance observed soaked condition. Swelling pressure effectively 50% Hence, it can be concluded will help improving mechanical properties
